no fair! I never get any comments anymore. :C I guess I'll just have to go off and delete it, eh?

oh, btw, update for all you HOPELESS PEOPLE who go all ROMANTIC FOR ME: just friends for now, may evolve into something later, but we (more specifically me) are waiting until we grow up a little bit. more mature, more in tune with knowing what we want. (hey, I know what I want [or at least I think I do] but can it ever work for me? noooo....) meh, whatever. anne, he still thinks you're crazy weird.

fwah, so there's a fireside tonite at the church (lousy people don't believe in casual dress around here, bah!) and then there's a party at zack's house which SUPPOSEDLY I'm not even going to be allowed to stay at after 11. cursed parents. oh well. I'll be hanging out with them crazy people from 9ish to 11ish. I'll stay there as long as I can, seeing as my parents don't trust me enough, I think I'll give 'em a scare to kick off the new year. and maybe a grounding. (my parent's don't ground, so disregard that.) meh, but what do I know! maybe I'll just be a good girl and skip it all together. naw, zackum wouldn't like that. although, I don't think my parents will be alone in the ruling (not letting their kids drive when there's drunks and who knows what else out there on the roads).
so those were some pretty big paragraphs for my blog. I think I agree with liana, these are becoming way to diary based. ah well. I'm sure you people appriciate SOME snippits about it.
.... right?
meh. whatever, I'm off to.... do something.... ?

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

yes, happy holidays! fwah.

so saturday went relatively well, I think. hmm. I heard him say it too. "I think this first date was a success, don't you?" heh. yeah. I'll bet the second one'll be just as good. if we get that far... (shut up!)
fwah. so he came to my house 2:25 - 2:35 (or something) left for kendall 10 and watched eragon. nothing big, eh? (was a pretty good movie, btw. streamline, but good.) went to oberweis, had ice cream w/ mike & liana (the double for the date) and then drove me home. here's the kink. my parents insisted that he stay and take part in "holiday traditions" (frosting cookies). so he stayed and helped out a bit with that (he didn't even eat/take home his own cookies! what's up with that?) and then we sat down on the couch and popped in another movie. A Wonderful Life, I think. but we left 20 minutes into it (it was almost 7). so jokingly he was like, "you know, you could come home with me and meet 2 of my sisters, 2 of my brothers and a sis-in-law!" halfly wanting to spend more time with him and halfly to meet part of his family, I tagged along.
we got to his house to find the family watching Finding Neverland, at, of course, the part where I ALWAYS cry. always. so we're sitting there, watching this movie and 5 of the 8 in the room are crying (including me) and stuart's like "I must be heartless, I'm not crying. come to think of it, I never cry during movies." and I'm just like "shut up and let me cry!" he just laughed and tryed to keep poking me. meh. so then it's over and I'm like "hmm, I should probably go home" so then he and his bro drove me home (the other car was in use, and stuart wasn't about to use his brother's car. nice car. oh, anyways.) which was a little weird, but not too bad.
so yeah, in a nutshell, was much nice. we haven't really discussed if we're doing out, but apparently to someone coughMIKEcough we are going out because we went out on one date. hmpf! I shall deal with him later. anyways.
well, I must go, it's getting late and I'm stuffed and tired. 'night!

Saturday, December 23, 2006

well, my blog is being weird and not posting with my paragraphs and smushing it all together into one. hmpf. oh well. I'll attempt to fix it later.

anywho! I LOVE KIMMY! she's the most awesomest person alive! lol, she's cool. she just shaved her head cuz she's going through chemo. :( but it's good, mi madre y yo made matching hats and we saw her today and took mucho fotos. :) yay! me gusta. I hope they turn out good, I post them here someday!

tcha!
happy holidays, all. I'm off to eat some reject cookies and get ready for *later* :P heehee.
why is no one ever on when I am, but then everyone comes on when I'm about to leave? it boggles the mind.

random note: seminary this morning was great. food, flannel pjs, a big warm quilt and sitting next to the person you love while playing with each other's hands is a great mix. mmm.... I think we layed on each others shoulder a few dozen times.... mmm. Mike, I agree with you. winter's the best time for romance....
hmmm. love is in the air. and for the best time of the year, too. mmm. I'm all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.....
mm. now I wonder, should we start thinking/worrying about the first kiss? jk, jk. don't answer that.

RANTIFY!

Bad:

  • curse you dominant, half diminished and fully diminished vii chords. (if I could swear,) DANG YOU!
  • meh. mike's selling his child on ebay (curse you for that too). MURDERER! ...
  • computer's way too slow. (curse it! again.)
  • almost failing US history. (cursed homework.)
  • history project due tuesday/wednesday
  • chem assessment on wednesday (possibly? it might even be tuesday. GAH!)
  • music theory test on tuesday/wednesday
  • dang, I missed all those curse whatever's. CURSEIT! BAH!
If there's bad things, I have to even out with the good:
  • date in 6 days.
  • not failing chem! (yet?)
  • dance on the 29th.
  • new year's eve, and I have someone to kiss this year. jk.
  • mistletoe. wait, that *could be* bad if mike brings some saturday. I'll keep everyone updated on that.
yeah, right? it's the lovely life for me, I think my aunt is coming! Meh, I think that every time the bad outweighs to good.
meh. and stuart wants me to be the dominant one and decide. HA! I made that mistake once, I refuse to do it again. I WILL NOT BE THE CAUSE AGAIN. I WILL NOT HAVE THEM DO SOMETHING THEY REALLY DON'T WANT TO. I WILL NOT BE THE ONE WHO DECIDES, THEN IS RAISED UP IN MY OWN WORLD OF IT AND THEN BE LET DOWN BE REALITY. I WON'T BE THE ONE TO WRITE IT IN STONE!
I will not, I just can't. I won't, I just... couldn't... handle that again...
I just... can't....

peerpressurebebad

WELL. I feel funny, not blogging for a week. tff. I figure I'm going to be browsing around enough, I might as well make an effort to post sometimes. *shrugs* ah well.

So earlier this week/month/year (who knows) I realized how young I still am. Yes, I realize it was only a week ago I had my "mature" moment where I realized that I have grown, that I have some much bigger things to worry about, and that I have to stop thinking about the past and think about the future. Cuz really, if you dwell in the past, what is there to do? It's not like you can change anything. Nothing about the past than learning from it. That's what I say. Anyways, then I realized today from our motivational speaker person that I have sooooo much more of life left to live. I mean, it's not like I had no idea, I've just been reminded. ya know? yeah. And then me & stuart had this convo the other day about how we're still only 16 and technically children (as much as we hate hearing it) and we've got a long ways before we start thinking serious. (probably why we're not going out yet. that and the fact that we've both been hurt drastically before we met. ask me about it sometime, I'll explain further.) eh. made me think that I wanted to grow up too fast too soon. I've got another year and a half of high school. I'll slow down. maybe when it's too late, but I'll slow down. if you ask me, life begins to speed up at 12 and doesn't slow down until yer dead. just my simple-minded opinon, eh.
haha, I just made a smart comment! my mother was talking to my brother about how he needs to learn to do his homework ALL THE TIME no matter how bad it sucks. (she didn't quite use that language, BUT you get the point.) and then she brought up that I learned that lesson and I agreed. then she wondered why we had such a problem with it. then I said "y'know, I think everyone goes through a stage like that, but it's only the smart people that learn from it and do something about it." haHA! what now. unfortunatly, I am in the middle of my own statement. oO
whatelse, whatelse. oh, a week and 3 days, if anyone cares. which I'm sure they don't and have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'M excited. so there. neah. :P
so sunday night stuart calls me. (somehow the first extensive call on his part. oO) nothing big, I suppose. talked about some random stuff and then he's like "I found a book!" I'm not surprised, I've heard from other families (who've been in the area forever) that his family is SUPER SMART. good for the kids, it'll be. lol, anyways! so I ask what it is, and he's like "the legend of the candy cane!" so I'm like WTH? so he starts reading it, but he had to leave in the middle of it. I guess there was a little village and a guy comes and starts building a store. No one knows who he is or what he's doing, and no one offers help, so they just watch. then a little girl gets too curious and asks him if he needs help. the man says yes and then stuart had to go. (>:O) he said he would call me back later in the week, but it's prism week, which means next week/sunday. (*~* prism = equilavent to crystals @ OHS *~*)
Anyways. I think I've made this long enough for a week update. don't you?

70th post!

fwah! just goes to show I'm on this too much. eh? meh, I don't even know if I can count that high. lol.
anyways. took my giraffe to seminary agin. was much much fun. everyone likes agin.
I should probably stop updating, I never have anything of interest to talk about here. I think I shall shrink away from blogger for a while (possibly, if I can last) and work on more interesting aspects of life (my few stories that are bothering my fingertips) and come and visit every once in a while.
just a post saying "out to live my life"? not that I'm not living it already, just saying more-so.
but if anything drastic happens, I will come back to tell. other than that, no more random stuff.

ooh, colourful!

fwah, so I think I need a very colorful post. whata think?

so this morning at seminary, I brought my giraffe pillow, and stuart wanted to steal it. he made me laugh.
our tree fell over last night. hmm.
and someone pulled a silly alarm in the silly pool area. silly people. (silly? I meant stupid...)
I like stuart! (well there's nothing new.)
I love my seminary! (that's not new either.)
Going to the tristake dance with stuart! (hmm. third thing of old news. I need to get out more often.)
Leeb is evil! (doesn't want us to play all of nutcracker. DIE!)
I need some green on this post. and some bright obnoxious colors! ahaha!
I'm stalking mike. (that's exciting! lol, not really.)
I'm happy its winter and that I have a hunny to cuddle with! (finally.) yummy!
I'm thinking my parents might get me a car for christmas. (here's for hoping!)
Methinks I need more news. Meh. If I think of any, I'll be sure to come back and colorcode it. Ahaha, it's fun!

So I was at church today, right? (duh.) and there's this girl behind me. we all got a calender and we notice a tri-stake dance. she turns to her neighbor and says "you know, there's this one boy that's never been to a stake dance?" and of course, I know who it is. the other girl says "really? who?" girl 1 says "stuart."
not that I'm any jealous, of course.

ACK!

I've been bitten!
Me: bite me! I can too!
Stuart: *bites* no you dont
(We were arguing that I can't spell. later:)
Me: hey! that's mean!
Me: I bite you.
Stuart: ouch *starts crying* MOMMY!!!!!!!
Me: *sticks toungue out as he runs away*
Stuart: *crys even more*
Me: *starts feeling a little bad*
Stuart: *still crying*
Me: *trys to hold back a smile and laugh but fails miserably*
Stuart: *crys even harder*
Me: *gets a bandaid*
Stuart: *doesnt see how its either funny or is going to help, so still crying*
Me: *puts it on her own booboo*
Me: *then gives him a hug*
Stuart: *doesnt help crying boy in any way*
Stuart: *oh, smiles*
Stuart: :)
Me: *then laughs at both of our stupidity*
Stuart: lol
Anyways! (Goodness I love that child.)
Ha! We got our tree today! It's too tall. We have to chop off the top. And a chunk on the bottom. Hmm. I want to put the star on this year! I want to put it on!
fwah, we got band on monday. huzzah! (its a rainbow!)
I should probably go now... I wonder when our game is tonight... hmm, I oughta go find out, eh?

HUZZAH!

it happened.

my answer has come.

only 13 hours after I was orignally supposed to!
oh, hallelujah! for the first time I was right, and it worked in my favor.
-raises head to sky- yes! thank you!

-lowers- right, I'm good. AK! I'm so happy!! I'm going to do several backflips if this gets any better. fwah!
ah. -sobs- so happy.
Stuart: in reference to your previous question, i think so
Stuart: question from seminary yesterday
Me: oh. yes?
Stuart: i think i like you too
thank you God, for letting me meet so many new people from my new seminary and church. I am an instrument in you hands and will remain so for the rest of my days.
@};~

Thursday, November 30, 2006

hmm.

so it's supposed to snow tonight. a bit. it won't stick, so don't get your hopes up, people! the ground's too warm.
listening to train.
thinking about the pep band practice tonight. should be fun, eh! I just like the music. so much. it makes me happy. :)
thinking I'm really cold right about now. stupid house...
looking for the beatles bassoon quartet that I heard at solo & ensemble last year. not having much luck, but I WILL track it down!
and I told the like of my life (I'm boycotting the L-word -gasp!- :P) that I like him. maybe I oughta give you the story?
so I went to seminary, as usual. I almost didn't go today because I went to the temple last night and thought I would be tired. (I prayed last night that if I woke up and wasn't tired, I would go to seminary and tell him I like him. I asked God to make me tired enough to not go if I shouldn't say anything.) But hey, I wasn't tired! so I went, I got there when class was about to start, so I was like "stuart, I have to talk to you later." he goes ok and we have the lesson, talk about D&C 61-63, boom! class is over. I put my scriptures away and he comes up to me in the -dark- hallway and sez "what is it?" and I go "I think I like you." he shrugs. I shrug and sez "maybe I'm crazy?" he shrugs agin and sez "I dunno, maybe you are." and then we both shrug a few more time and then I sez "do you like me?" (dumb question to ask, I'm sure. gimmie a break, this is my first time.) and he sez "I dunno, I never really thought about it before. but this made me wonder, cuz he told me a story. I'll relay it to you, eh?
so he was riding in his best friends car (becuz it was their turn to drive) and his friend's dad says "so, theo! (his best friend) you're 16 now. any first dates yet?" theo says no. his dad goes oh and asks stuart. "so! stuart! you're 16 too, aren't you? have any first dates yet?" stuart also says no. theo's dad suggests that he gets one. stuart told me that then he thought it would be so funny if I were his first date. haha, funny? made me realize that he was thinking about me though. hmm. hint? or random ramblings of my mind?
I can't make heads or tails of it. gah. hit me hard enough to wake me!
Me: but guess what! awkwardness forcasted for seminary tomorrow...
Mike: With a slight chance of hope.
Mike: And overcasted letdowns when that doesn't happen.
Me: and crazy is added to the forecast. all week!
Mike: All day, everyday.
Me: all year.
if that ain't the truth, I dunno what is. heh, and I thought I was going to make this a short post. guess not. happy reading! if you didn't read through all that, you might want to. I don't think I'll be posting agin for a while.
goodnight! going to sleep until it's ok for me to wake up.

headlights on a dark road, showing me my path

I will find him tomorrow at seminary and say all. it will mean the most and I will be able to see the look in his eyes. and the glint or darkness that is in them will tell me, and I will know. and then I won't have to suffer anymore.
yeah. sitting here with a culvers concrete (yummy, brownie bits!) and listening to a very... emotionally distressing song. making my mood more interesting. tffit. oh well. life goes on, I suppose, right? it has to. and I sound emo agin. goshes.
so life is good. chirstmas is coming around, and I hardly have a grasp of what I want/ what I'm getting people. I'm getting one person a tie, two people books, one person a box full of fun stuff, and I'm not sure about everyone else. I know I'm getting everyone fudge, but I have to work on that part... I hope no one's allergic to anything. :P plus, I have to get everyone something un-edible. I mean, how would you remember? exactly: you wouldn't! so I'm working on it.
yes, so I think I might go now. I've made this as long as it needs to.
~Rayla
For once I want to be the car crash
Not always just the traffic jam
Hit me hard enough to wake me
And lead me wild to your dark roads
My tongue is lost, oh, I can't tell you
Please just see it in my eyes
I pull up thorns from our ripped bodies
And let the blood fall in my mouth
Headlights... before me
So beautiful, so clear
Reach out... and take it
Cuz I'm so tired of all this fear

re-thanksgiving and more

So yesterday was the OEHS fine arts re-Thanksgiving! (it was originally for speech/drama people, but I'm not in either, so it's simplified to 'fine arts' now.) and holy cow, it was AMAZING. I love all that went! We got there, talked for a bit and prayed over the food. Let me tell you it was the most interesting prayer I've ever been in. oO Pretty much everyone was chucking in things to pray for. it was so casual... anyways! I brought a dish of yams with a brown sugar/cinimon/walnut glaze stuff and it was all gone when I got my dish back! Zack took the rest because he liked it so much, but eh. I've got another full plate, so it's better he took it. :) Oh, and I found out what the difference between yams and sweet potatoes are! yams are from south america and sweet potatoes are from america, but they're used so interchangably in our culture that everyone doesn't care or doesn't notice. eh, whatever! it works.
I saw happy feet before the party too! was nice. they displayed it to be a comedy though, when it obviously was not. regardless, it was cool.
real thanksgiving was good too! had 20 other neighbors come and chill out. mostly people from our old ward. was excellent. maybe I told you about that already, maybe I didn't...?
ah well. good times have come, and I've found the secret to my life. I can't tell you what it is; that's for you to find out on your own.
It's not as easy as willing it all to be right
Gotta be more than hoping it's right
I wanna hear you laugh like you really mean it
Collapse into me, tired with joy

ATV-ing on country roads!

oh my.
so my parents friend took us up north so we could go ATVing and the ride up there was FABULOUS. I love the country, just being away from everything. I'm still wondering to myself is I'd be able to live out there. Y'know, for the future and whatnot. Or maybe I could have a summer-home!
Oh, to dream.
Anyways! so we got there, admire the view, then go for a BETTER RIDE! burr hokey, tis roight! -shakes head- sorry, flipping accents. anywho! drove around on the ATV and had some fun with that for a good three hours and got really tired and came home. mind you it was two hours there and back so I'm just saying thank goodness for two cars! phew.
anyways, I'm really tired, so I'll be going to bed shortly. after I decide whether or not to tell my crush about my feelings.
wish me luck?

hilarious bits of interesting conversations...

(at IMEA saturday, when ushering:)
Woman: Excuse me, where can I find the bathroom?
Mike: Down the hall, to the right, and it shold be on right.
[Lady walks away]
Me: It should be there? You make it sound like it moves.
Mike: I was just thinking that!
(we laughed about that every time one of us said that. Eventually we changed it to "it will be on your right" so we wouldn't laugh when we said it.)
(ten-ish minutes ago:)
Me: watcha been up to?
Mike: No good...>.>
Me: nothing good? why...?
Mike: No reason...>.>
Me: I'm worried.
Mike: >.>
Mike: Alright, I'll spill it.
Me: yay.
Mike: Well...
Mike: ...
Mike: I'm pregnant.
Me: haha, I was wondering why you were getting fat.
Mike: T_T
Me: and then you'll be a proud....parent. won't that be lovely! we should start planning for the baby shower!
Mike: *_*
Me: I'll support you no matter what!
Me: I'm sure liana will too.
Me: if I may ask, who's the other...parent?
Mike: Liana.
Mike: She forced me into marige!
Mike: *sob*
Me: well I thought you like her.
Mike: But not enough to maryr her!
Mike: Hello!
Me: sheesh. well why didn't you say "i don't"?
Mike: I did!
Mike: And then, it was TERRIBLE!
Mike: She FORCED me!
Mike: *sob*
Mike: I don't know what to do...
Mike: Yes, I know what to do.
Me: be a good parent and support your wife.
Mike: I'm going to eat breakfast.
Me: lol.
(Definitley think that's the best conversation I've ever milked. haha, lol! I'll have to show this to Li and see if it's true. :D)
(At seminary:)
[I notice pink glittery stuff on my sleeve]
Me: Stuart!
Stu: What?!
Me: Stop using my sleeve as a tissue!
Stu: I didn't! (he totally didn't go along with it and was so lost.)
Me: Yes, you did! I saw you!
Stu: But...
Me: No excuses! I want you to apologize!
Stu: But I didn't do it!
Me: Yes you did! Stop lying! You're a bad mormon, you liar!
Stu: (pouting face)
Me: Geez, Stuart, I'm only kidding.
Stu: Oh, geez, I thought you were serious!
(I'm so awesome sometimes. Drama has helped me act serious in funny situations. YES! wonderful stuff.)
My bro: It's so isosolated.
Family: You mean "isolated?"
My bro: Whatever.
Family: There's a difference you know...
My bro: I know that!
Family: Do you know the difference?
My bro: ...
Me: For one, isosolated isn't even a word...
(it was funnier at breakfast.)
There were more awesome random conversations I had, but I can't remember them. Until next time!

there's a first time for everything...

So today in gym, we were in the dance room because we weren't swimming (pump was broke?). We "watched" half a movie, and after it was over, I stood up and looked at one of the full body sized mirrors that line the walls.
I liked what I saw.
For the first time, I honestly liked myself for me. And only for a fleeting moment, I thought I was so important...
But, of course, then I see everyone else around and realize if they liked me as much as I liked myself, they would've at least said hello. (I was isolated.)
They joys of having an aunt coming to stay. For Thanksgiving, no less. Tch.
In other news, editing is going well. Sent my first one to little P (cuz I needed someone new to critique) and she's going to be critisizing that. (small thing I'm worried about: she leaves it out and her brother finds it and reads it. oO) Anyways. Re-read my second and third one and it hurt. Not because it was bad, but that I was astounded that I described it in such away that it physically hurt... I surprise myself in such random, good ways.
Anyways.

-and reminding myself that I could do that someday for the rest of my life
-spending so much time with my best friends in the world

-and then realizing that you feel the same way about it
-music in general

RANT

I'm proud of myself. I've got a crush. huzzah, someone to think about when I'm bored! ...

anyways. I hurts like crap, inside and out, and my mind's going in a frilly. I hate those. y'know, getting in one of those moods where I'm all like EMO but not. and then I fantasize about this and that and it hurts to think and then my mother comes and starts yelling at me and saying that I three-wayed the number 4998839 too many times and how I don't practice enough and this and that and then my dad is like "I'll let you go on for a while until we leave" and then when my internet connects he walks in and says "we're leaving!" and then I've got cramps and the IMEA concert is tomorrow and I'm still kinda upset that I didn't make it...
argh, and there goes my timer. :(

just as a quickie, I've found that I can comfortably sing about 2 and a half octaves. (D below middle C to A above one octave C.) is that good? I don't know what a good range is. I'll have to look it up.

Yeah. just stopping by.

MUSIC IS LIKE CANDY: YOU THROW AWAY THE (W)RAPPERS

So as I was looking through past poems and such, I found one that I wrote about 6 months ago. Not only did I blow myself away, but I realized that this poem was written then so it could help me now. It was the strangest thing. Fortunatley for me (and sadly for you?), I will not share it, as it assesses some rather personal things. Anne, I believe you may have read it before.
On a lighter note, I shall be attempting to teach Zack theory (as he has no time in his schedule for it). That will be interesting enough, once I figure out when we're going to do it. I'm going to hope for Tuesday or Wednesday. :)

Oh, on a much more important thing, I get to go to the temple! yeehaw! Nov. 29. yup! I haven't been there since April...I remember that day because I had to skip a play practice for it... heh. that was exciting. and speaking of plays, I think I'm going to see if I can convince my parents to let me try out for the musical this year. That'd be fun, huh! If my parents would agree to me being gone for a few days each week... hmm.
fwah, nothing else to update on. oh, the dance was fun last night! this one guy danced with me at least a half a dozen times....oh, and Mike, I've shortened the contestant list to... two. :)
and randomly, taelore's coming to orchestra with me tomorrow! yay! we need clarinets like crazy mad style. :/
anyways, toodles!

sheesh, and I thought this was going to be an interesting story...

fwah, so after school (after music theory, of course, with a teacher-less class, lol) I go outside. realitivly early after school lets out (5 minutes after oO) and I see a big column of black smoke down harvey (towards aurora). so, being courious and spontaneous, I decide to go see. so I turn out of the school on harvey and follow it until it turns into hill. Then I follow that for a while until hill turns into galena. then I follow galena until it ends (well, not end, but I can't go the opposite way on a one-way road) and I turn towards the direction of this smoke.
now, by this time, I was the middle of aurora by now, and for those of you who don't know, aurora can be pretty scary.
so I turn on ohio, follow that until it ends, and then see this HUGE fire. I'm like, OMG! but then I see a sign that says, "Aurora Fire Training." so then I'm all disapointed that this smoke column you can see from oswego was just a training session, and I hardly know where the heck I am! so I EVENTUALLY turn around and come back home.
sheesh. and I thought I was going to have something of interest to talk about.
so I'm at school, and barsh ain't here, so we were sitting in the hallway hanging out. then josh has to go and get leeb so he's watching us do nothing. I would rather sit out in the hall doing nothing then have a teacher sit and watch us do nothing. would you? no se.

fwah, so the next chance I get, I'm going to get a fictionpress username and post mis novelas. oh yeah. that's nothing to shake a stick at. (wha?... I guess that means I'm OLD to use that saying.)

jello jiggles like a fat mans belly

that was becky. she stole the keyboard.

nuh uh ...i just took it

same idea. anyways. she's making me listen to some japanese/tokyo techno or something crazy like that....and it's making me upset almost.... same thing over and over and over and over...

fwah. anywha! I've been so hyper happy this last week, it's been so great. it's like, I can't get mad! in a good way, I think. liek, I'll still get annoyed and crap, but not like, mad. me gusta. maybe the play gave me a sense of self accomplishment or soemthing. GAH!!! becky makes me listen to fray......they make me happy...... :) :) :) :)

I oughta go...

she made a becky noise that sounded like this......ahem......fwah! in a really high voice.

yes, thank you becky...again. ew, I just remembered, swimming started in gym, and it sucked. more on that later, barch just walked in. LATER!

Atra nosu waíse fricai.

props to whoever can guess what my header says/where it's from! actually, maybe I'll make food for you. :) everybody likes chocolate, right?

so yes. I got the "hall of the mountian king" techno song from Mike. finally. lol, it's the greatest song in the world! one of these days, I'll figure out what song I'm doing for share your music...and this song is definitly up there. within the top ten. oh yeha!
fwah. so I'll be alone tonight (not again, not again, lol), with the MB party going on. I can't go, though I really wish I could. maybe my parents will let me go for an hour or so. I already ate, so they won't have to worry about food. wot. no se. or maybe I'll just stay here and EDIT my freaking STORY which MIKE wants me to PUBLISH on FANFICTION.COM, which is HARD because the STYLE I wrote it in THEN is so much DIFFERENT from when I would write something NOW..... so I want to scrap it cuz it SUCKS but I have sequels, so I can't. (don't know where that random whole uppercase words came from. I got bored, lets say, eh?) gr, so I basically have to re-write the whole thing, but keep the same plot line. shouldn't be too hard, huh? fwah, hard for me when I've kept this "originality" for three years.... years! that's a long time, is it not? gah! right.
so yeah, I just realized that technically I went on a date friday night. after my play. spiffy. I went to wendy's, we got food, hung out until other highschoolers invaded the place, then went to his house. it was funny, he was like, "you know, we're breaking the rules." (cuz he's mormon too.) I go, "How?" "Just you and me, here, by ourseleves." I told him that it wasn't because it was spontaneous, but now that I think about it, he was probably right. which leads me to my question for you:
was it a date?
I don't think it was, but heck, what do I know? Ok, so is it obvious I like him? Maybe a little? NO NAMES WILL BE REVEALED! for chance you might meet him. :) whoops! that was about to be a huge hint, was it not? gah, I'm not very good at this, are I? oO

WOOT!

so, sadly (or happily?), my play is over. if you didn't see it, SHAME ON YOU! It was good. The playright's mother showed up. appreantly, if the playright wasn't in NY, he would've come to see it! how crazy is that?! beforehand though, I was all freaking out and crap, and brendan kept poking fun at me. silly man.

so yeah, more randomness to follow tomorrow, I've got to go to bed. I shouldn't even be on. And my parents are getting cranky... -gasp!- I'm outa here. nightynight! sweet dreams! if you remember them, let me know, wot! supposedly I'm good at interpreting...?

purple water

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! ...even though I feel like crap and should be asleep in bed. I went home sick during school with a fever (100.7). tsk. so in spite of the halloween, I shall share a scary moment with you. I've been saving this for I don't know how long.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER NINTH: I took two showers.

Now, you may be asking, "What is so important about her taking two showers?" Well, here's something you should know: I don't take two showers in the same day. Ever. Well obviously except for what's noted above, but other than that, never. Two things worth mentioning about the showers, though:

The first shower was early morning. Suds were white.

Second shower was late night. Suds were purple.

I know what you're thinking. "Purple?! What on earth made purple soap suds?!"

Here is my answer:
:D Because Kit and me had a little too much fun when we were hanging out. Isn't that exciting? scary, I know. even though it happened a long time ago, but wahtever. I was like "I am NOT going to church with multi-colored hair!" so yeah. that was fun. for reference, this was the saturday before I came to school with the tips of my hair blue. even though no one noticed that, either. ah well. I still have some blue stuff, too. maybe I shall surprise you all. stay tuned!
off to bed,

flying bible-bearing pigs

The Bible says..."Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses."

I still believe pigs can fly. I don't have to see to believe; they only fly when I'm not looking.

SEPTEMBER 21 – OCTOBER 27

11:50 AM

Me and Joel broke up.

But it was ok. 5 weeks and a day, a record to live up to from now on. Right? And it doesn't hurt as much as I though it would. But I will portray what does.

On our back to class from lunch, walking together like we always have. We walk in silence. Not uncommon for us, but uneasy, as most silent things are for me. He speaks. "I think we ought to break up," My heart plummets to my stomach. I breathe, trying to smile. I ask why. He explains. "It's just not you. You're beautiful and all, and talented too, but I just don't think I want a girl right now."

Oh well. 5 weeks and a day…who'd a thunk it, right?...

Ah.
But then I tell Kylie and she says that she's happy (not yay happy, just relaxed happy) that we did, b/c apparently he's been flirting with someone backstage in the play and whatnot, so I say posh to that. Didn't mean much to me when she said it, only when I saw him after the play that night. Then John (the idiot he is) says "oh, look, there's joel with somebody else!" so I leave and go for a drive, bawling my eyeballs out and not particularly knowing where I'm going, and I end up at david's doorstep. by this time I had kinda settled down, since my radio cut out and I was annoyed about that, and I knock on his window (since I saw someone at the computer in the upper level, and thought it silly to ring when there's someone right there). David comes out and I start bawling again. and he knows. he just knows. so we go out for a drive on the "country" roads on the other side of wolf. and we talk, and talk, and talk, and talk. which was nice.
I love that kid. (not like that, you crazy people.) he's such a comfort to me. and as we told each other multiple times, we always will be. I'm so glad to have a friend like him. makes me smile in a time of despair.

so how are ya’ll? I’m good, thanks for asking. hehehe. little hyper, more distracted than anything, but hey. today’s post is going to be one of those where I vent, so here’s your chance to back out!

-cough- anyways. so today was pretty good. chemistry was funny, we were talking about how if you don’t know how to solve something, guess something with moles (the number, not the animal). so he was asking all sorts of questions, and one of them was “why is Illinois flat?” and we all go “MOLES!” and we all start cracking up after we realize what we said and he imitates one and goes “whoo, I’m a mole, let’s eat all this dirt, whoops, a rock. Aw, look, now it’s flat!” It was so funny. it was a pretty good imitation, too. hehehe. Band was pathetic today, practically all the brass was gone, so we had a woodwind sectional the whole time, which gets pretty boring when you don’t have the same part as everyone else. oh well, that’s what I get for choosing a scholarship instrument. :P US history was boring, had a sub and did “work” which no one did, and theory was even worse because our sub never showed up, so we didn’t do anything then. but of course, that’s when my day got considerably worse…

so I was talking to one of my friends in that class, and she told me some disturbing news. I’m not sure if I should direct that info over mainstream internet, but lets just say I found out one of my friends isn’t being the best that they should be. in the context that I now know two people that do drugs. lovely. and I thought they were so much better, and to find out they’ve been doing it for a year! I’m just horrified. my friend from theory wants to tell the drug-friend’s parents, but she doesn’t know how…. to get a hold of them, let them know and not break the friendship at the same time…. ugh, a dire situation if there ever was one. sheesh, and I don’t know who I can tell that won’t go off and have a domino effect because of me. eh.

Off of that. Distracted, leave me a comment as to what I should do, but don’t leave me a paragraph. email’s for that. yeah? …

huge bruise on my leg the size of… -calculates- …a baseball. go soccer in gym! not.

anyways... toodles!

~Rayla {v} ~

ps- want to know something scary? I found someone CONSIDERABLY more crazy than me. I mean this is like scary-crazy when he’s like this. it’s so creepy! (by the way, mike, that would be one of the mystery contestants. :P are we keeping up with that? just for kicks?)

Sunday, October 22, 2006

Fwah, I forgot to post this last Saturday:

MONTHAVERSAIRY! con me novio!

hehe. go us.

Anyways. I'm so happy, I understand music theory! and not only that, it's getting easier! I'm so proud of myself. And I get to resume lessons the 30th! huzzah!

So East's last game was last friday and I think a score was 6-46 them. I don't know for sure, I left after halftime. (I know, tsk on me! My cousin Kasey came instead and we hung out places. I took her driving and whatnot, fun stuff.) So yeah. :)

Nothing else of interest to say. Other than my play is in A WEEK FROM THIS FRIDAY.....GAH! I didn't think I would make it this far. I start the whole shibang, so what if I can't get myself to go? stuck with fear? then what? ugh....

for them, for myself

You can say everything
But it won’t change a thing
I’m sick of the secrets
You can say what you mean
But it can’t change a sin
I’m sick of the secrets

And I don't know where to look my words just break and melt
Please just save me from this darkness
The last girl in [her] last reason to make this last for as long as [she] could
First kiss [and her] first time that [she] felt connected to anything
The weight of water, the way you told [her] to look past everything [she] had ever learned
The final word in the final seconds you ever uttered to [her] was love

that is why I am strong with my relationship, mike.
5 more minutes of first block.... hehehe.

SO. Carl's emo cow post was awesome, anne is a nut, mike won't update (slacker!) and I'm hearing rumors! AAH! drama rumors, no less. oh dear, I won't get into THAT, will I...

I was going to say something. Oh! I love it when peolle comment on how cool I look when I'm flagging. ex Carl last night when he was talking about how flagging is cool but he would never do it. silly carl. silly anyone who thinks flagging is easy! so many things to think about...and speaking of flagging, I learned the JP routine last night.... go me.

anyways, g2g. to gym! to gym... ew.

"I am not concerned with you liking me or not, I just ask that you respect me as a human being."

What powerful words in a quote. Me gusta. So I'm bored out of my mind, and I was surfing around on deviantart and found this quote:

"I like coffee. I like hugs. The best is drinking coffee while giving a hug. Or being hugged while drinking coffee. Or hugging coffee while drinking a hug. Have you ever done that? neither have i."

amusing, regardless of the fact that I hate coffee. eh. I'll substitute 'coffee' with something else. :)
stupid game this stupid friday...and stupid routine I don't freeken know...stupid colorguard. (stupid sammon...) jk. for those who care, I'm even skipping orchestra tomorrow for this stupid routine. now what? geez...they better pay attention and learn the frikin thing or I'm going to sit out the last game and not humiliate myself of the fact that I don't know it. sheesh. oh geez, that reminds me, I oughta tell them I won't be there...
gotta go!
@};~

Saturday, October 14, 2006

so as I was thinking about this past week and how I will most likely be cranky every friday from now until the end of orchestra, I realized that I have a problem. a small one, maybe. I hope.

I have low self-esteem.

lovely, ain't it? small problem, fixable, and least I'm not taking drugs. (like someone I know... -coughANNEcough- ...jk, jk.) but anyways, if anyone knows how to fix it, please try to fix it or tell me how, because I don't know how.

Thursday, October 12, 2006

Hehehe. Guess what guys! I get to go to a par-tay tomorrow! And you don't. Jk. She's from church, if you came, that'd be awkward. Anyways, I'm learning the PB&J Dance! aka the EFY line dance but that's besides the point. the point is that I'm going to learn it and I'm going to embaras everyone that knows me and make them wish they didn't! MWAHAHAHA! I already know some of it, but hey, that's the first two-ish lines out of maybe 20. SO! I learn, quickfast and make myself look silly! and then everyone laugh and I go cry. :( jk not really. I laugh with them as they try to copy me. ME GUSTA! I can't wait.

Anyways. Want to know something weird? Me and Joel's monthaversary is the week of sweetest day. I could not have planned that any better. jk. I hope I get a flower. ^^ if not, I still love him anyway.

Fwah, Hilly! You're rubbing off on me! Eeesh, I gotta go! Practice awaits!

All At Once Lyrics
The Fray

There are certain people you just keep coming back to
She is right in front of you
You begin to wonder could you find a better one
Compared to her now she's in question

And all at once the crowd begins to sing
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same
Maybe you want her, maybe you need her
Maybe you started to compare to someone not there

Looking for the right one you line up the world to find
Where no questions cross your mind
But she won't keep on waiting for you without a doubt
Much longer for you to sort it out

And all at once the crowd begins to sing
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same
Maybe you want her, maybe you need her
Maybe you started to compare to someone not there
Maybe you want it, maybe you need it
Maybe it's all you're running from
Perfection will not come

And all at once the crowd begins to sing
Sometimes
We'd never know what's wrong without the pain
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same
Maybe you want her, maybe you need her
Maybe you've started to compare to someone not there
Maybe you want it, maybe you need it
Maybe it's all you're running from
Perfection will not come

Maybe you want her, maybe you need her
Maybe you had her, maybe you lost her to another
To another

GAH! my quads hurt like nothing else... eeesh, I walk in the door with a limp and my mom laughs at me. then I say "yes, I know, I'm a gimp" and she falls onto the floor. I haven't forgiven her yet... lol.
Got my results from the Pre-ACT back. Here, I show:
Math- 21
English- 27
Science- 24
Reading- 26
Overall: 25.
I'll improve. I definitly did from the PLAN test, I got this:
Math- 21
English- 19
Science-20
Reading- 19
Overall Estimate: between 21-25.
So I did lots better in English, but went nowhere in Math. Not surprising, though... I had Roake was a teacher last year. Remember him, Carl? Eeesh.
Anyways, I'm good. Lots better from my last post. I had a mood swing and I wasn't getting any attention. As far as we girls go, pretty normal, I guess. ANYHOW... I'm outa here. SLEEP!

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

Anybody know what Vienna is? I'm too lazy to research it if someone already knows. Fwah, that sounded way self-centered, didn't it? Eh, I'm getting bad with that. Probably why I didn't make IMEA... tch, and speaking of bassoon...

My lesson teacher might have breast cancer. My mom says she goes in to get tests every year, so they caught it early. I still say any kind of cancer is taboo in my vocab. Any kind of cancer is the same kind: deadly. I don't care, I'm being stubborn, thank you, and I don't need anyone's sympathy. I'm dealing with this myself. I've found that's the only way I can teach myself anything. Hmf. Are we even talking about the same thing? I doubt it.

So yeah. Other than the bad, I got the Fray cd. It came out last year, but that's new to me. I want the new goo-goo dolls cd, too, but I probably won't be able to get at it for another year. Whoo. Go my living-under-a-rock syndrome. Tch.
G'night! I'll stop troubling you with my useless drama.

Sunday, October 8, 2006

Well. I'm extremely surprised at how fast everyone who had a part in my poem got back to me with the OKs! Greatly surprised. It looks like most of them got back to me within 12 hours. Which, I think, is great. I didn't get OKs from two people, but from what it looks like, it shouldn't matter. Everyone is pleased with their part, so I'm happy to present my poem.

***
Of angels wings and broken things
All friends are always there to see
All faults to never see again,
I've got some friends close to me:
Of one, whom I have known so long
But more was known in all good time
We've comforted when both our hearts were weak
She is surely a good friend of mine.
Of another who tires to hide his light
Behind closed walls, broken door chime
Though we both hide to find ourselves
He is surely a good friend of mine.
Another still whose seen me fall
And picked me up to make me fine,
She is strong, I long to be,
She is surely a good friend of mine.
A fourth, I know, is way head smart
And helps me out, since start, no end
We have our voices guide us through,
He is surely my good friend.
Second to last on my list of friends,
A hero in fourth's story, from innocence fell
And though her ways may change and blur,
We are sisters, others we tell.
Finally, but important to last,
A friend who sometimes confuses me,
This one who surely comforted most,
Surely we shall never be swallowed in the sea.
Anne is the one whose shoulder is wet,
Carl is the one whose light shines so bright.
Kit is the one who I think is strong,
Zack is the one whose got brains in his head.
Charise is the one who my sister should be,
Mike is the one who has comforted me.
All my friends whom I all love so dear,
Take a good look, for it all is so clear.

***

I don't even know what inspired me to write this. But I can tell you this: It's not going to be the last one I write about you guys. And yes, to those of you that noticed, I changed the wording around a little on some bits. If you didn't notice, that's ok. I think I only changed a few parts... And yes, I did say I posted this a day later than it is. so? ...but anyways.

wow. I just forgot where I was. I was listening to my new Fray cd, and reading through people's blogs, and I forgot that I wasn't at my house, around my things. I'm at kit's house, reading through your stuff on her computer, feeling love for you all.

I love being comfortable. at someone else's house, no less.

Ever wish you could go back and take back everything you said? Ever wish you hadn't started a conversation? Ever wish you hadn't been so foolish to make someone think that they were wrong, even when they were right, and the one trying to show you that you were wrong?

Heh.

I do. Right now.

Wednesday, October 4, 2006

Well, IMEA auditions went well....for the most part. Etudes and scales were as good as I could possibly get them, and the sightreading SUCKED. like mad. Ack, 9/8 time, some crazy key sig I hardly ever play (1#), and some crazy rhythem, like a quarter note and two 16th notes. it threw me off. so the whole thing I basically played straight triplets. Hopefully I got all the right notes and stuff, I don't know. I didn't stop though, that's pretty good, right?
ECK. I hate sightreading. with a vengance. I don't know how anyone could manage sightSINGING. now that seems impossible to me, singing intervals you've never heard of. At least for me I can put down the right fingers and blow and I get the right note (usually). Eh.
Oh well, nothing I can do now. Except wait for my scores to come back and see if I made it. Which I pray I did, I've been practicing that stupid music for ages.
PRAY FOR ME, I hope I made it.

This song is for you, Mike.
"You Could Be Happy"
You could be happy and I won't know
But you weren't happy the day I watched you go
And all the things that I wished I had not said
Are played on lips 'till it's madness in my head
Is it too late to remind you how we were
But not our last days of silence, screaming, blur
Most of what I remember makes me sure
I should have stopped you from walking out the door
You could be happy, I hope you are
You made me happier than I'd been by far
Somehow everything I own smells of you
And for the tiniest moment it's all not true
Do the things that you always wanted to
Without me there to hold you back, don't think, just do
More than anything I want to see you go
Take a glorious bite out of the whole world

fwah, so whats today? the 22nd? ok. -counts- so that's 11 days until IMEA. WWOOOOOOOTT.... :D yeehaw. IMEA is going to be at OEHS this year, too! yes! that means I won't have to drive all the way to who-knwos-where if I make it. woot! I hope I make it. that'd be fun. I love music. You get to meet so many cool people pertaining to music. me gusta. the more bassoonists I know, the better. hehehehe.

Right, well I'm at school again. I have to practically live at the school again today, since I'm staying after school for my play (woot!) and there's a social for all the little eighth graders that want to be in marching band next year. WHOO! GO MB! hehehe. so I will have an hour today of just sitting around the school. maybe I can ask someone if they want to go to Panera for dinner. hmm.

So spencer is sitting next to me and he's talking about "googling a wenis" and I'm like oO um..no. kinda creepy.

So I'm done rambling on, I'm proabably going to end up hacking onto xanga and copying this onto my site. Or maybe I'll go to LJ. I like LJ. Jake doesn't. he rambled on about during this class yesterday.

Oh dear. they're both making me laugh too hard, I can barely type. I love friendly banter.

g2g! LEAVE ME A COMMMENT, POOR FLAVOR

lets see....

2 days until DYSO
17 days until IMEA auditions

oh, isn't life exciting? ooh yeah, of course it is.

So U of I was bad this year. Quite disappointing. It was so much easier my freshman year, and life was more simple when I went last year, so I was less depressed. Eh. Maybe next year will be a better finish. (IT BETTER BE, IT'S THE LAST TIME I'LL EVER GET TO GO...) -ahem- well, if you go to my xanga (link is listed on the right), you can hear a part of a song that we're playing in Wind Symphony!! ^^ When we played through it, I was like "I've heard this before... WHERE HAVE I HEARD THIS BEFORE?!?!" so I was going crazy to figure it out, and I eventually did about 20 minutes later. oO oh well. life is messing up my mind.
Play rehersal's are going well, I've pretty much memorized the first two french scenes, so life is good. for now. Everyone's fussing about the dance and stuff, so whenever we get on the inveitable topic of "the opposite sex", it emerges. I, however, will not be coming to the dance, since I will be spending the night watching PHANTOM OF THE OPERA with Kit and Zack, who hasn't seen it before. Hence, why we're doing it then. No one else can crash and none of us are going to the dance. woot, go us.
Anyways, I'm exhasted from the trip, so I'm going to go sleep. And, inveitablely, wake up at 6 tomorrow morning. Cuz that's just the way I work. :-P
