the joys of being home - I get moments like these.

I was talking to my mother for a quick minute this morning and she told me about a woman who came to the house and picked some pumpkin starts (sprouted pumpkin plant, but not very big so trans-potting them is easier).

Apparently, this woman came to the house when my mom wasn't home, went around the house and got the seeds, and left. No word of acknowledgment or anything. Apparently they're growing fine.

My mom then mentioned, "I think one of the shortcomings and failings of our society is gratitude." She said she was trying to be aware of it on her end, at least.

I think it's something we can all try to be more aware of.
