150!

I live on blogger! who cares!

I've been told to keep my comment box open every once in a while, but when I do, no one comments. what's the point? perhaps I should keep it closed, if no one's going to say anything. oh well, this stupid blog is turning too much into a diary blog, anyway. meh, this is more for my own amusement anyway. it doesn't matter.

nothing matters! *emo*

=D

I'm off to play isketch, to amuse myself because I'm currently a tad bit bored.

happy memorial day!

now back to business.

my world grew over the weekend. actually, it's been getting bigger and bigger all the time. I mean, at this time last year it was "oswegoland area." now it's "oswegoland & naperville & ottawa."

I now know that there is life out there. taking the first road trip by myself really showed that to me. sure, and hour may not seem like a very long road trip, but when you're by yourself? you start making decisions on your own. you start seeing the big picture. you start seeing things in your own way. you feel like an adult.

I know I did.

once I got to ottawa, I met people. I saw my cousin Kasey, of course, but then I met the rest of her family. I met people at her church (not to mention the date). some people knew me from somewhere already, but I didn't know who they were. I figured out later that they had seen me at YW camp, waltzing around as my crazy self as I always am whenever boys are out of the question. (lol; I'm the hyper one at camp. it's my rep.)

after I drove home by myself, I arrived to an empty house. I remember thinking to myself, so this is what it's like to be grown up. making decisions on your own, coming home and doing what you'd like.

then I realized how much I've grown through out my entire life. how much I've grown because of my friends. how much my testimony of the gospel and Christ has grown. how much better a person I am now than I ever was. how much more I understand now because I'm here, and not in sheltered little Lisle.

in light of that, I must take this time to thank you all. for helping me become the person I was always meant to be. for helping me uncover my light. for showing me what I am. for showing me what I have yet to do and accomplish.

so thank you.

I have the belief that I'm obsessed. but that's okay. I'll bet I'm the only person in the world who is. about teensies, anyway.

yes, this post is being devoted to the magical blue fairy-type creatures with beady little eyes and elongated faces that captivated my imagination so long ago. you know you like reading about them. you know you love my icon, too! uh huh, denial. don't get me wrong, Rayman rocks too.

oh yeah. my kind of hottie. the limbless wonder, wot! ow, ow! -^.^-

and look at that, I incorporated teensies in the process. haha!

I rock.

all hail teensies! long live the teensie queen!

brace yourselves!

random bits of info no one will care about! ready?...

band concert tonite! we sounded good in liturgical dances, for once. straight through, we don't suck! we had so much energy running it today, I got the chills. hoo, baby!

going on a blind-double date with my cousin. okay, this is going to take a story.

so, last nite, I get a call from Kasey (my cousin) about 8:45. We do the typical greeting and whatnot, and then she comes out and asks me if I can go on a double with her! I'm like "uh, I don't have a boyfriend..." and then she goes off to say that it's okay because she already has one for me! She tells me that this family moved into their ward about two weeks ago, and this 16 year-old in the family asked her out on a date. his brother (who's 19!!) said that he'd go on the double, and Kasey volunteered me to go with them! I don't know who this guy, or what his name is for that fact, hence my phrase "blind-double." crazy, huh. oh, and this guy's going on a mission in a week in a half. madness....

bah!

english paper due next tuesday. hoping to have it done friday to get extra credit. =)

oh, and I've decided that I need to go home and play Rayman 2 for my web deisgn class. I need screenshots of the game; there aren't nearly enough pictures of Teensies on google. which reminds me...

schwa. have fun with that, me dearies. I'm off to finish what's left of school. and write more of the story. which also reminds me, Mike, we need to talk about plot. I'm thinking we'll be able to work more when school lets out, but don't let me forget. =)

all hail teensies! long live the teensie queen!

what am I to you // what are you to me...

// are we getting better // or did we used to be

definitely how I feel right about now. oh well. such is life. we live, learn, laugh, fall, get up, and keep going.

but man, is it hard to get up once you've fallen. especially from the roof of a skyscraper.

you take a big leap, you fall, waiting for something to catch you. but it misses, or never tries to catch you, so there you are, falling from the top of a skyscraper. and all you do, is you think to yourself, why did I jump... why did I do what I did. why did I take a chance... but it's then you realize you had a parachute all along. with the ground rapidly approaching, you pull the string, and poof! out comes a brightly coloured parachute, with every color imaginable under the sun gently carrying you to the ground. and you laugh, because the parachute is everything you ever needed all along. you didn't need anyone to catch you. only a parachute. then you land on the ground, feet first, head up tall. but then whatever it was that was supposed to catch you in the first place comes along for a second time, and you wonder to yourself, I jumped for this to catch me? and then you send it to the ditch in the side of the road, continuing on you highway of life with your brightly coloured parachute, which is what everyone really needs in this life.

a parachute. it's all we need.

it's all I need.

prufanzi

yay for word verification boxes that give you ideas for names. even if they are a little long and complicated. so now I've got 2: "Yevarina" and "Prufanzi." interesting.

celebrate the small things in life, I suppose. that's what they tell me, anyway.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready for summer. now.

"Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken."

if that ain't the truth, I dunno what is!

='(

I miss the musical already. we took the set apart and painted the floor. I almost cried. on the inside, anyway. man... and I'll never have a soundtrack that produced the same magic as listening to it from backstage. I probably never will, but I'm emotional right now, so... man, musical next year is going to be even worse. it'll be the last one ever...

ugh, not even going to think about it.

which reminds me, I need to grovel to my parents about a yearbook.

meh. off to write more of my story, eh. keep my mind off things for a while. plus, it'll help control my fictional-side of my brain. that or throw it off even more. oh, whatever.

SLEEP! peace! aaah...

BEHOLD!

I am the Teensie Queen. Marvel. Bow to my superiority of these creatures.

=P

Anne, I think you're beating me on this number-of-posts thing. I'm at 144 now. not that it's a race or anything. =D

last nite of the musical tonite.... it's been going by way too fast. I mean, it seems like only yesterday that we were learning "Six Months" or "Shoeless Joe" in the Choir room. Or learning the "Shoeless Joe" dance in the Band room... at this rate, I'll be in college tomorrow.

...

*oO* no, scary thought, AAH! I don't want to leave! I don't want the seniors that have established so much in our school to leave! I don't want anything to change!

. . .but alas, I think it is change that makes us who we are. but I think that if you're really close to someone who's leaving, you will stay in touch with them. no matter how far away they are.

so, in light of that; bring it on, future. bring it. I'm ready for you.

all hail teensies! long live the teensie queen!

My family just left. so now I'm home alone for the next day and a half! minus the whole going-over-to-Kits-so-I-don't-burn-the-house-down part.
