random days of the week shall now be posted at the base of my page...

So I got a really random note on my LJ yesterday. Scariness. I have a hunch or two on who it is, but... I won't say. Actually, now that I think about it, I have a REALLY GOOD hunch on who it is. but hey! I won't tell. if they want to be all sulky about loosing a friendship with me when they make it sound like we haven't spoken in years, ok then. although, if it's who I think it is, I should probably decide if I want to be so close to them as they make it sound. oO don't ask. I won't tell. Oh, random info about it anyway: (Anonymous) 2007-01-19 09:39 am (local) (from 207.63.113.96) if anybody knows what the random numbers after local is, let me know.

div style="styleDocument: [object]">anywho! yesterday was ABSOTIVLY-POSOLUTLY-FASCINATING&WONDEFUL. ho, aye. -shudders with glee- mmm, yeah! but I won't say. you'll be like, "AWW! SO CUTE!" and then I'll be like *sick*. meh! what are journals made out of paper for! 'xactly. :D :D :D yayness.

hmm. well, the boys have a game tonite (yay, boys b-ball! we don't suck!) against morris, I think. yes, morris. anywho, they rock, so come support them (if you're not in pep-band already)! I mean, they're undefeated! who wouldn't want to come to see a game that we're ... I'm not going to say "going to win", so I'll settle with "highly chanced at winning". haha!

mmm. lunch sounds good right about now... oh, and here's to good luck at getting a nice schedule monday! -toasts-

happy "Blessing of the Animals at the Cathedral Day"!

meh. so it's currently wednesday. the one day I want to study for chem but can't. gaah, curse my laziness. oh, and if you haven't guessed by my title (which I'm sure none of you have), I found a calender that has the national -insert random thing here- for every day of the year! oh yeah! and you'll probably find out what that thing is for each day every post, since I can't think of a clever title for these things each time. if you want the whole thing, ask me and I'll send it to you. :D aren't I nice? oh, I might not be on tomorrow (who am I kidding?), so the 5-day forecast is:

Junuary 18 is: Winnie the Pooh Day
January 19 is: National Popcorn Day
January 20 is: National Buttercrunch Day
January 21 is: National Hugging Day
January 22 is: National Answer Your Cat's Question Day and National Blonde Brownie Day

Oh. Good heavens. My brother is playing the oboe in the other room, and I had to stop my music because he wasn't keeping tempo with the metronome. Heck, he wasn't keeping time with anything. Heaven forbid, I didn't think oboes were supposed to sound like dying chickens when they played staccato! Seriously! I didn't think I sounded that bad on oboe. Maybe I should pick it up again. I'd probably be better than this dying chicken in the other room! … oh good. He's done. And I'm dead.

little monsters on the boat parade

I can't control you so
You need to let me know
You leaving or you gonna stay?

You lie awake at night
With blue eyes that never cry
All you remember now
Is what you feel
You remain
A promise unfufilled
I ask you for more
But you push me away
And if we feel the silence
Holding this all inside us
Leaving this all inside us
Everything means more now than words can explain
Looking for something more to say

The waiting game is a cause of God to let you know that not everything happens in your time....

However, I think my game may have taken a fabulous turn for the worst.
A poem of sorts that I just made up from different song lyrics. It doesn't really flow, and you may reckernize some of them, but.... As follows:
Is my heart breaking?
I love him more than he can tell,
But loving someone doesn’t make them love you.
Something had left my life but I don’t know where it went to
Somebody caused me strife but it’s not what I was seeking
I begin to wonder why I came.
How much longer, how long can we wait?
I don’t know how to get you.
I’ll set you free,
But deep inside your soul there’s a hole you don’t wanna see.
You see me here pushing you
If I then deny I do
Contemplate or wish away
If I ask you not to stay
I asked you for more but you pushed me away
I guess I’ll never know what’s really going on inside you
And all the things that I wish I had not said
Most of what I remember makes me sure
You’ve made me happier than I’ve been by far
Do the things that you’ve always wanted to
Without me there to hold you back
Don’t think just do.
Don’t you hide your eyes from me
Open them and see me now
maybe it is my fault. I'll admit it if I have to. But I just wanted to help him...

of reeds and randomness

I've been busy. Don't kill me. I check this thing multiple times (at school even), but I just don't feel like it/can't. meh? meh.
I go practice now. I need to make reeds. I'll do it tomorrow. Evil high maintenance instrument. (oh well. scholarships be worth it!)
tcha! game tonite...

70-69; 2OT. WOLVES.

so I checked my gmail for the first time in forever, and I had 461 unread emails. I want to get rid of it. Fortunatly, I learn from other people's mistakes and I won't. Because I'm awesome like that. jk.
anyways, so the title says it all. b-ball game last night and da wolves barely won in double overtime. I've never been more passionate about a basketball game in my life. heck, I've never been so excited about anything before! well, openly so. meh!
well, it's saturday. some will be coming back from theatre fest eventually, and those who didn't go to it is at the speech meet. curse you parents! no, no, curse you my stupid schedule and my lack of motivation to do homework when at E.C. activities. rawr!
uh.... I had a smart @$$ comment about something or other, but I forgot what it was. meh.
I made reeds today. I screwed 'em up, big time. I still have time to learn... I just hate store bought reeds now. they put no love into them. like me and kim. :D
ok, I give up. going away now, since I have nothing else to say and no one likes reading about my randomness.

if you tell someone "a penny for your thoughts", and they give you their "two cents", where did the other penny come from?

MORMONS AND LOVE

Mormons. You most likely know one. Whether you're aware of it or not.
  • Our real name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Or we go by LDS. Mormon is a nickname given us because we believe in the Book of Mormon. We usually go by Mormon cuz that's how people know us...
  • We don't drink.
  • We don't smoke.
  • We don't drink coffee... and if you see one of us doing that, slap them and say "NO!"
  • Joseph Smith was the first LDS prophet. Brigham Young was the second.
  • BYU is a mormon college...There are 3 of them - one in Utah, Idaho, and Hawaii. BYU stands for Brigham Young University.
  • We don't have sex before marriage. (unlike dearest michael! jk, jk.)
  • We have more fun playing chutes and ladders than spin the bottle.
  • Not all of us have been Mormon our whole lives...
  • The high school-aged youth go to a seminary (like sunday school) class each morning before school.
  • Our church session is 3 hours long and we love it.
  • The mormon missionaries are the two coolest guys ever. Be nice to them ;P
  • It's true. We make the best green jello salad and casseroles you've ever tasted.
  • We think mormon jokes are funny.
  • We don't date till we're sixteen.
  • We know that groups dates are more fun anyway.
  • We know that the most fun dates - don't cost money.
  • We give talks in church in front of 150-300 people. how's that for public speaking?
  • We are stubborn as heck. We don't give in to peer pressure.
  • We have refreshments at almost ANY meeting.
  • We celebrate holidays by throwing either a BBque or a dinner.
  • We love to sing and dance.
  • If you go to a youth dance, you WILL see conga lines, break dancing, square or line dances and swing dancing.
  • You will also participate in either the Chicken dance, or the Hokey Pokey ;P
  • Almost every mormon girl can play the piano.
  • We don't watch R-rated movies.
  • We dress modestly. Skirts/shorts to the knee, shirts with sleeves, one-piece bathing suits... that type of thing. These standards are never supposed to be relaxed... EVEN FOR PROM.
  • We CAN use technology.
  • We CAN eat fast-food.
  • We DON'T practice polygamy.
  • If we ask you to go to an activity, it's NOT a conspiracy thing where we're trying to convert you. It means we have fun and we want to share that with you. Likely the church won't even really be mentioned while you're there.
  • If we ask you to go to church, it's because we care enough about you to want to share with you what we know and the blessings we've received.
  • If we give you a Book of Mormon, we're giving you the most precious gift we have. It may not have the same meaning to you at first. That book has changed lives for the better and when we see you going through hard times, we want to help. This is the best way we know of helping you. So don't be offended. Even if you don't want it, know that we care about you THAT much.
  • If you turn us down, it's ok.
  • If you think we're pushing you, tell us to knock it off! We'll stop. lol sometimes we get carried away. :)
  • If you ask us what we believe, only for the sake of arguing, we won't tell you. It's pointless to engage on that when you're not going to open your mind and listen.
  • Asking you to go to church, an activity, or giving you a Book of Mormon is incredibly hard. It's like a guy asking out his crush. Some of us are more comfortable in doing that than others. It's hard. So if we do it, be NICE! lol
  • We don't care what you wear, what you look like, as long as you come! We're happy to see you!
  • We'll live on pizza.
  • We know what it's like to push a handcart.
  • We have all sorts of useless skills and know a bunch of stupid games.
  • We do genealogy. It's pretty darn cool when you find out you're related to someone famous...or that you're royalty.
  • Your parents will let you go just about anywhere, as long as one of us goes with you.
  • Mothers LOVE mormon girls as babysitters.
  • PG movies ROCK!
  • We don't all love the Lion King.
  • The guy who owns the Marriot Hotels is Mormon.
  • Steve Martin is NOT mormon just because he did Cheaper by the Dozen.
  • We DO tend to have big families. The more the merrier.
  • The boys go on two-year missions when they turn 19. And no, they don't get to choose where they go.
  • RM stands for returned missionary. They make the best boyfriends and husbands, and every mormon girl wants one ^^
  • Contrary to poplular belief, the majority of us would rather live in Antarctica than Utah lol
  • If you see anyone on TV (not on the BYU channel) under the age of fifty talking about mormons, they're probably lying.
  • It's nearly impossible to offend us - even if u do it on purpose.
  • We don't use bad language and we hate hearing it from others. But if you slip up, it's not a big deal. We still love you.
  • People like, respect and even admire us, but are rarely interested in hearing what we believe.
  • Donnie and Marie? Mormons.
  • The Bat Commander? Mormon.
  • Steve Young? Mormon.
  • Gladys Night? Mormon.
  • We're not perfect. No one is. We make mistakes. We slip. Try not to judge us by one person who is struggling.
  • If you EVER have ANY questions for us, we'd LOVE to answer them! Don't be shy!
hehehe. oh, and I figured out the other day that I'm in love with a computer character! woo! I think? eh, whatever. I HAVE PRIDE, I AM IN LOVE WITH A NON-REAL THING! YES! ... rather awkward saying that. oO
